Mayor Bloomberg may be banning religion at the 9/11 Memorial but he cannot ban God from attending! I understand that this isn’t a time for political speeches but to refuse to allow clergy from participating is beyond comprehension. Is he not aware that it was God that a nation turned to, to get through this most tragic time in our nation’s history? Isn’t it time for him to put his secularist beliefs aside, after all, isn’t this about the families who lost loved ones that day?
How ironic that Bloomberg supported the rights of Muslim’s to build Park51 which is just a few blocks from the site. Claiming that they have a “right” to build there. The Church Report quoted Rudy Washington, former Deputy Mayor to Rudy Giuliani as saying, “This is America, and to have a memorial service where there’s no prayer, this appears to be insanity to me.”

Fred Phelps and the flock of the Westboro Baptist Church are known for their warped sense of Christianity and as you, the readers, are aware of their attempts to disrupt and protest the fallen soldiers who died in the line of service for our country. It was brought to my attention by one of my frequent readers that now they plan to attend the funeral of the youngest victim of the recent carnage that took place in Tuscon, Arizona this past Saturday.
Phelps referenced Luke 13:3
By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will perish as they did!
The Voice of Tuscon reports that Phelps has said “God sent a shooter today.“This is clearly not what a God of love and peace would command or ask of his followers.
However, this “hate group” recently sent out a new release on Saturday January 8th:
According to the Voice of Tuscon they report that they plan on protesting at the funeral of 9 year-old Cristina Taylor Greene, this Thursday at 1pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Catholic Church in Tucson. According to my “informed reader” Phelps and his clan may have a surprise awaiting them! As members of the community have planned to adorn “large Angel Wings” to spread them open for cover as this family lays to rest their most cherished treasure. I ask everyone that reads this post on Thursday at 1 p.m. to say a silent prayer for this family, the others whose lives were so needlessly taken and for those who continuously fight for their lives so that the mercy and grace of Our Lord can illuminate the sky’s with his light of love upon them.

Oh how so much as transpired since those words were penned. Political correctness has now taken over and no longer is it appropriate to mention God in fear of offending someone. It wasMadalyn Murray O’Hair that in 1962 and 1963 successfully removed God from our nations classrooms. The Supreme Court of the United States handed down it’s decision forty-seven years ago last month. I strongly agree with Gary Bergel and his article Banning Prayer in Public Schools Has Led to America’s Demise. Bergel noted “The New York school children which prompted the Engel vs. Vitale ruling had simply prayed: “Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence on Thee and beg Thy blessing over us, our parents, our teachers and our nation.”
America has experienced radical decline in each of the four areas which the children’s prayer touched upon: youth, family, education, national life. Minor recovery has occurred only since 1980 when the election of President Reagan brought forth a renewed emphasis on “traditional” values.”
He goes on to say that this violates the third commandment which commands us “not to take the name of the Lord in vain.” By the judicial act of forbidding invocation, the Court audaciously elevated a secularized system of education beyond the authority, reach and blessing of God Himself.”
It was shortly after this became the law of the land that we witnessed America’s descention with the lack of morality displayed by many now that are policy makers in Washington that affect all of us. Now we have a President who failed to hold a National Day of Prayer service at the White House. Obama did deliver a proclamation however, that in itself was challenged by atheist and agnostic’s a like. I agree with Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas who stated, “prayer has enriched American public life and inspired us to become a more perfect union and has blessed every day of business in the United States Senate. This year the National Day of Prayer faces a new challenge in the courts,” he said in a written statement. “The case reminds us that our First Amendment freedoms will not survive if we fail to defend them.” I, too can’t remember when America was in more need for a blessing from God. We have dismissed him and yet he continues to see us through the most perilous of times.

President Obama was elected in November of 2008 on the premise of “yes we can.” We have all seen the dismantling of our country with one take over after another, corporations being under government control, rising deficits, a government run a muck, drunk on power unfounded. He raises his chin up in arrogance, thinking that we the people support his ideologies of change, but, “apparently, we don’t.” We rebuke him and his efforts to change America with his socialistic agendas and we are now on a mission come this November to remind Obama that this country was founded upon the basis of WE THE PEOPLE, and it will be us that sends this administration a clear message,with flipping the house and the senate and once again regaining control of both houses. However, in doing so it is our responsibility to elect those who share in the true form of government as laid out by our forefathers at the very birth of this nation. We are ONE nation, UNDER GOD and we will fight to our demise to see that this Chicago style thuggery and the ignoring of the will of the people once and for all to be ended. This is NOT a threat of violence, unlike those on the left that we’ve seen resort to those tactics, we the true American Conservatives will do so quietly with one vote at a time….Mark my words, a new day is arising in America and we will once again be a nation devoted to the writings of our framers and we will take this country back…
My friends over the past year we have seen our flag, our Constitution to be continually drawn through the mire of lies, deceit, and an attempt to change the very foundation of which our great country was founded upon. We have attended tea parties in our communities, town halls, which brought about contempt from those in DC to mock and demean us. We have rallied before the capital building, bringing millions to deliver a message to our representatives and senators only for that message to fall upon deaf ears. We have to persevere and prevail over these people that are intent on destroying our nation. We have seen how bribery with millions of dollars can buy votes, we have witnessed how threats of closing a strategic military base and changing the wording in this health-care reform bill regarding federally funded abortion has caused another “public servant” to succumb to the evilness of this administration. Prayer, yes…prayer is a most powerful weapon against evil and we should pray endlessly for deliverance from this tyrannical administration and those who align themselves with him, “The One.” However, while praying we must stand up for ourselves and defend what our constitutional rights, making phone calls to the senate, sending faxes and emails may be in vain. A call for ACTION is now, we must learn from our forefathers and once again join forces and defeat the reform that is being shoved down our throats. There was a time in America where the “majority” had a voice, but that voice is being stifled and the “minority” now rules. We cannot continue down this path for if we do, we will no longer recognize our great nation. The time is now, the present…we must not only pray…but we must persevere and prevail..for if we don’t…. we will have lost all that we hold dear………
With all that is going on in Afghanistan and again the violence is breaking out in Iraq it is of great importance to “Thank your military.” They are in a strange land fighting to keep us safe and free from harm. They are someone’s child, someone’s spouse, someone’s parent, someone’s sibling….Show them your appreciation……”with arms wide open”…………….

Our men and women who serve in our armed forces upon induction to service of their country repeat an oath….

Today,once again our military is engaged in a war, this one is like none we have ever been involved with. The enemy doesn’t wear a uniform, they aren’t aligned with any particular country or alliance. They are dealing with terrorist, who are ruthless, fearless and have no regard for our troops nor for the American people and our way of life. Our military also faces another dilemma, taking orders from a president whose orders may seem unconstitutional. Thankfully there are a group of servicemen, women and veterans that take this seriously and have formed website making it clear what orders would meet resistance.
