“solutions” instead of “rhetoric”
It appears that Herman Cain is one of the few who are actually speaking about solutions to the many problems this nation is faced with. He made this statement while Governors Perry and Romney were discussing reforming or eliminating social security. Solutions are what is needed now not the rhetoric played out via soundbytes and one minute responses during a debate that is clearly trying to obscure the outcomes of said debates.
Cain’s vision for economic growth:
• The natural state of our economy is prosperity.
Freedom ensures that.
• We must get the government off our backs, out of our
pockets and out of our way in order to return to prosperity
• Policy uncertainty is killing the economy
Cain further outlines his principles guiding the economy:
1. Production drives the economy, not spending
• We can not spend our way to prosperity
• Government spending IS taxation
• Government spending is like taking a bucket of water from
the deep end of the pool, pouring it in the shallow end.
Then they HOPE that the water level will CHANGE.
2. Risk taking drives growth
• Business formation and job creation are dependent on
entrepreneurs taking risks
• Investors who fund those entrepreneurs likewise take risks
3. Measurements must be dependable
• A dollar must always be a dollar just as an hour is always
• Sound money is crucial for prosperity
Cain’s message is always about “We the people” and not the usual mundane accolades of the others as they tout “me, me, I, I.” America can’t wait for 2012, we need growth NOW.
You can clearly see that there are eight GOP candidates vying to get the nomination to face off with Obama for the 2012 presidential election. However, the media and their inept attempts to control the outcome of this most crucial election of our lifetime is an epic failure. It is not for them to decide, their responsibility to the voters are to present each candidate equally for the voter’s to decide. Yet day after day we are bombarded with soundbytes, news alerts declaring this one or that one to be the front runner. Like the current administration the media is guilty of usurping our rights as voters to decide the outcomes. At last night’s debate from the Ronald Reagan library it seemed that it wasn’t a debate of ALL the candidates but of that of Perry and Romney. Most questions were fielded to these two men while the remaining were left to fend for themselves to be heard and have their views brought forth to the voters. For example, Perry had 15:20 of air time while Cain (who received several rounds of applause) had only 5:45. Each candidate should be given equal time to discuss these issues without the panel and or moderators placating to the perceived front runners of their choosing. We have another debate coming up September 22nd, hosted by Fox News and Google, it is imperative that each candidate be heard on all the issues to enable the American voter to make an objective decision who to support. After all this nation was founded upon the premise that the government was founded by the people for the people. I say it’s time for the voters to stand up and speak out demanding the media to provide the medium for us to make these decisions without them drumming their subliminal messages into our subconscious.
[photo courtesy of facebook friend] History was made on November 2, 2010 when the GOP regained control once again of the House of Representatives. While “We The People” played an integral part in this take over, it would behoove the GOP to take note that we are not giving them a pass to only go to Washington and conduct business as usual. It is a time for accountability and to ensure the American voter that you will be our voice, our “representation” in our attempt to save our nation and bring back trust, faith in a government that has ran amok over stepping its boundaries with it’s rampant disregard for our constitution. Rep. John Boehner of Ohio, said, “Its clear tonight who the winners are and its the American people.” Yes, this isn’t a time to celebrate but indeed a time to buckle down and have our voices heard and remember…We the American voter have entrusted you to defend and protect …… We are watching, taking notes….
We are at a crossroads in our nation today as we embark on possibly one of the most heated and dynamic mid-term elections of our lifetime. Recently the GOP released their Pledge for America in an attempt to enlighten every day Americans to the threat that now exist in DC given the Socialist agenda that is being forced down our throats at every chance. Redistribution is not the key to our social problems.
America is an idea – an idea that free people can govern themselves, that government’s powers are derived from the consent of the governed, that each of us is endowed by their Creator with the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. America is the belief that any man or woman can – given economic, political, and religious liberty – advance themselves, their families, and the common good.
Obama, while desperately declining in recent polls has once again attempted to silence the “minority”. His common theme throughout his presidency has been to blame the previous administration for everything under the sun without the ability to be accountable for his own agendas. This is evident as he stated, “Make no mistake: The Republicans running for Congress, they want the next two years to look like the eight years before I took office“. Apparently not only does he not read the bills that come before him but he is blinded by the fact that his base is starting to turn on him as thirty-one Democrats are supporting to continue the Bush Tax cuts that are soon to expire. He is grasping at straws as he calls, for “We need your energy and enthusiasm — the energy and enthusiasm of everybody in this room and everybody you can reach.”
It is no longer going to be about Republican or Democrat and their specific agenda. This administration has done one thing successfully and that they have awakened the “sleeping giant” and no longer are we going to sit by and let those we send to Washington to represent us do so blindly. The will of the American people to have their voice be heard is evident by the ever growing support of the Tea Party Movement that has many on both sides of the aisle nervous.
Whenever the agenda of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to institute a new governing agenda and set a different course.
Do your homework, research the candidates and their platforms and only vote for those who are willing to be our voice in Washington. No longer can we sign a blank check for them to run amuck and continue to usurp our rights as set forth not only in the Constitution but our Bill of Rights..Vote November 2, 2010..our future and that of our children and grandchildren are depending on us to save the Republic…
“We make this pledge bearing true faith and allegiance to the people we represent, and we invite fellow citizens and patriots to join us in forming a new governing agenda for America“
It’s no secret that the GOP is calling for Senator Reid to resign after his much publicized racist remark regarding President Obama. He stated,
He was wowed by Obama’s oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama — a ‘light-skinned’ African American ‘with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.
Yet this remark was forgiven by the “anointed one.” .Obama says the book is closed, and that he has forgiven Reid because he knows in his heart that the “good” senator is a sincere man.
More bla bla bla coming from this administration. Such double talk and double standards isn’t surprising coming from those on the far left. These same people demanded and eventually was able to force Trent Lott to resign in 2002 after his response regarding Strom Thurmond and his presidential bid in 1948. We witnessed yet another attack of those on the left when Don Imus was forced off the air for referring to a women’s basket ball team as, “nappy headed hoes.” I guarantee you that if anyone on the right had said those same words the walls of Jericho would have come tumbling down and screams for heads to roll would have been heard from coast to coast. It is appalling the games, the deceit, and the Chicago style “thuggery” we have seen since Nov.4, 2009. They have at every chance attempted to destroy the foundation of our country and dismantle our Constitution with the socialistic agenda they are trying to shove down the throats of the American public. I agree with Michael Steele [finally] Reid should resign and vacate his office immediately!
[UPDATE] Black Activists Respond to Reid’s Racial Remarks
Big Brother has finally arrived in America riding on the back of the current resident of “Our” White House.
This administration is only a tenant and one who most likely will have a short lease.
How dare they think that we are a part of a organized group by high profile backers of the GOP, we are regular Americans from all walks of life that are starting to wake up and heed the warning that our Constitutional rights are being infringed upon!
We are not mobs, but we are angry; angry over the audacity that you think that within 8 months in office that we would sit idly by and let you slide your socialistic, communist type reform to the the greatest nation on earth.
We have fought before for our independence and it appears we are going to have to fight once again. We will prevail. Apparently you have forgotten the resolve of the American people. There are many that cherish the Constitution and all that it represents.
You do have a following, that is apparent, but sadly they are misled and fooled. You have them thinking that the change and hope you promoted while on the campaign trail and continue to interject with each opprobrious speech as you stand before the cameras and come into our homes, is for our greater good. Sir, take heed, we are waking up, we are not only republicans, but we are democrats, independents, libertarians all a like. We will continue to have our voices heard and as God as our witness we will be heard!

Nancy, Nancy where have you seen the swastikas that you claim that we are carrying as we stand up and raise our voices in discern for the health-care reform that is being proposed by “your” president?
What you have seen are angry people, angry over the audacity that you think we are being organized by high level groups within the GOP. You aren’t seeing thugs, hooligans; we aren’t carrying billy clubs like we witnessed with the Black Panthers or the SEIU protecting our liberal counterparts who stand in the way of letting us have our say in this. However, you feel that you have the right to undermine the American people and refer to us as being mobs! What you are seeing ….
We are tired of you treading on us, trampling on our Constitutional rights by trying to silence us. We will not be silenced. We will continue to show up at these town hall meetings and we will have our voices heard, we have that right. Have you held the office for so long as to remember how you ended up there. You were not picked up by some alien and deposited in one of the most important offices that represents our government. Nancy you were elected, sadly, I realize those that believed you actually cared for this country now regret sending you on this trip that you have turned around and turned into a power surge for you and your counter-parts.
Rest assured Nancy, Barbara, Harry, Tim, Barry, and Joe…your time is limited…We the American people will have the right and the pleasure of sending you packing come 2010 and 2012…Rest assured…We will TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY… the banker, the baker, the candlestick maker, the lawyer, the nurse, the doctor, the housewife, the laborer, the student; your average “Joe’…we will come together and with one voice join in a chorus and send you packing on the wings of the great eagle that so elegantly represents this country…
