What Congressman Grayson failed to mention….

3616536469_3f41859bd2 Recently we viewed the debacle of the consequences of Congress Joe Wilson’s emotional outburst of, “you lie” at Obama and one of his latest televised appearances. [there has been so many] We saw how Congressman Wilson was sanctioned by Pelosi and her minions, even though he had apologized and it was readily accepted. We also witnessed Pelosi’s nearly tearful babble of how she had witnessed in the seventies the type of behavior, the name calling, the hate-baiting and how she longed for it to end.
This brings us to September 30, 2009 as Congressman Grayson (D-Fl) displayed his behavior and lack of moral fortitude, this was not one of sudden emotional outcry but one that was clearly planned in advance as evidence by his “story boards.”

The congressman speaks of the Republican Plan, has he had his head buried in the Florida sand, the Republicans have been all but shut out of any decision making regarding the health care reform. One such plan was recently shared with me by my very own Senator. In a letter from Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY) I quote….

…Too many Americans are uninsured or underinsured. That is why I have cosponspored the Patient’s Choice Act. S.1099, which was introduced by Senators Tom Coburn (R-OK) and Richard Burr (R-NC). This bill takes steps to make health care insurance more affordable and accessible to Americans across the country by helping states set up state-based health care exchanges where insurance is sold, providing assistance to lower-income families, and improving transparency in health care pricing. I think this bill would be a good step in improving our health care system.
There are also several committees in Congress working on legislation to reform our health care system, including The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee and the Senate Finance Committee. I am a member of the Finance Committee and have been involved in these discussions. At this point, it is too early to tell what a Finance Committee proposal will look like.
I have serious concerns, however, with the legislation produced by the HELP Committee. That bill will cost at least $2 trillion- $2,000,000,000,000.00-when fully implemented , requires the IRS to assess a penalty on most people who do not have insurance, could require insurance providers to cover abortions, and will likely force more Americans into government run health care. It also provides subsidies for health insurance for families with incomes up to $88,000 a year and creates a new government-run program, which will undermine private insurance.

Then Congressman Grayson attempts to apologize for his behavior but falls short of character as displayed by Congressman Joe Wilson. On CNN with Maddow he even uses the term “holocaust” to describe his feelings….Reluctantly he attempted to recant his choice of words…but below is his apology….it really falls short in explaining why the GOP has been left out in any decision making regarding the heath care reform……………………..
