An Oath To Serve and Protect……….

Our men and women who serve in our armed forces upon induction to service of their country repeat an oath….

I ____ solemnly swear that I will support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Today,once again our military is engaged in a war, this one is like none we have ever been involved with. The enemy doesn’t wear a uniform, they aren’t aligned with any particular country or alliance. They are dealing with terrorist, who are ruthless, fearless and have no regard for our troops nor for the American people and our way of life. Our military also faces another dilemma, taking orders from a president whose orders may seem unconstitutional. Thankfully there are a group of servicemen, women and veterans that take this seriously and have formed website making it clear what orders would meet resistance. Joy Behar apparently is still full of the kool-aid that she drinks on an hourly basis! It is comical only that she thinks she can debate Michele Malkin, as seen recently on The View. Even Whoopi Goldberg thought she had a chance at challenging Malkin’s wit and intelligence. Imagine the despair of Elizabeth Hasselback of having to deal with these lame, ill informed,”ladies,” on a daily basis! She should be nominated for a purple heart just for enduring this type of ignorance…Malkin while small in stature makes up for it in her determination, intelligence to inform the American people of this corrupt government that now resides in, OUR HOUSE…..

Dick Cheney was very precise and adamant in his opinions regarding the Obama administration and their attempt to discredit the CIA. I agree that by going backward as Obama once claimed to be against is a grave error and no doubt will put our safety as a nation in jeopardy. While the Bush administration started the over spending and stretching our economy, he did keep us safe. Can we put the same trust in this current administration? It is obvious that this administration is clearly grasping at straws as their poll numbers continue to plummet and the “blame game” tactics are not effective as you, Mr. Obama hold the reigns of this nation and have to step up and accept the responsibility for your actions

What good can be benefitted by revisiting issues that we have no way of changing, the CIA operated on the contingency to keep the homeland safe and for that they are to be applauded. Why would the current administration be concerned on how those that were waterboarded or “tortured,” as they so love to sling this word around, while we had thousands fighting for their lives while in buildings that were demolished by those that perpetuate so much hate for America? Does Attorney General Holder really want to tackle Cheney and his wit?

There have been many videos on youtube with James David Manning,PHD.he is very outspoken, articulate in his criticism of Obama and the type of government he is bringing to our country. Could he be right? Have we had enough? Maybe September 12,2009 will send a clear message to this administration that, “indeed,” we are fed up! Tired of being referred to as “racist,” for merely disagreeing with policies as they are being attempted to be,”rammed,” at us as stated by Gibbs at numerous white house press room briefings.
Janeane Garofalo, blatantly refers to those of us that don’t support Obama policies as “teabaggin racist.”….Does she have any remorse?
Dr.Manning makes a relevant observation, We are tired of the government intrusion into our lives, we are tired of the spending, the lies, the deciet…. “Mack Daddy,” you had better listen…..

Going home…….

Today, setting aside politics, party affiliation we stand with the Kennedy family as they lay to rest their beloved Teddy. The day brought back memories of a young child that watched intently as his older brother, President John. F. Kennedy was laid to rest. I was a mere child and was enamoured with the Camelot image and the fortitude of this American family.
I could lament how we differed on the many issues we face today as a nation but for Teddy that is no more, his legacy will live on in the hearts of the loved ones he leaves behind. I will not digress on how I disagreed with most of his policies, as this is not the time to do so. He now stands before our Creator and will atone for all his sins of his lifetime, as one day we all shall. He, like his brother’s before him are American Icons and their impact will live for eternity… God Speed.. Teddy…

Mine eyes have seen the glory…and I am making a stand

When the first American revolution began to assemble, there were no army’s in place to protect the colonist as they were under British rule. They lived a meek existence dependent upon a King that had little regard for their needs as they attempted to set up and create new beginnings in a new land. It started out being only a few angry people that were rapidly becoming tired of the taxation without representation. Their message slowing began to resonate across the land and Liberty and justice for all soon rang out as a sign of victory and one of independence.
History has a odd way of often repeating itself, and once again some 233 years later we find ourselves in similar situations. We have taxation without representation, a government fueled not for the people by the people as it was set forth in our constitution but one of greed, a hunger for power and a desire of reform.
Their idea of reform is to make us dependent on a government that has been proven to be unable to manage the programs of their own making and yet they expect us to sit idly by and remain silent as they did over 200 years ago. Like our brethren from those days, we have those who are willing to stand up against the tyranny, the arrogant, the condescension. The time has come to join them and to stand shoulder to shoulder with them and renounce this oppression.
We have a choice, my fellow Americans… do we sit back and let this government with it’s many czars continue to change the face of our great nation? Do we let the government dictate how our physicians are able to treat us? Do we sit back and remain quiet as they quadruple our deficit, leaving a debt for generations to come? Will they be able to recover? Do we once again let this government lead us into a depression, one without creating jobs as was promised and banishing any hope we have of a recovery?
This administration has misled the American public, promising to cross the aisle and jointly attempt to resolve the conflicts of the day. But we have seen the real change that is being brought forth, he isn’t reaching across the aisle….they are merely surrounding themselves with more people like Ayers, Soros, Farrahkhan,Wright…People who want to bring about change and disruption into our lives, their purpose is to change our fundamental beliefs and bestow upon us their ideologies of socialism, fascism and communism…
Are you willing to sit idly by and let these people cast darkness and shadow the very spirit of the “Patriot” that lives within or will are you williing to make a stand and renounce this once and for all….We must remember the battle hymn of the republic and may it play in the hearts of many as we march onward to take our country back. Do you have the spirit, the calling…for mine eyes have seen the glory and I am making a stand……..

For the love of country…..

As you know this is Monday and once again I write to remind you of the importance of supporting our Military and their families. We do this daily but it is nice to set one day aside and highlight the men and women who so bravely serve our great country. There are many great organizations that are truly dedicated and devote their life’s mission in seeing that our servicemen and women’s needs are seen too. One such group is Angels for Hope.The president of the organization recently shared with me a letter she had received and it was a true testimony to the service that they provide. I am so proud to be able to share this with you and I hope it instills in you an urge to do all you can do to help those who give so much for us…..

“One of our sons was killed in Iraq in August 2006. Needless to say, the past 6 months has been the most difficult of our lives. A few weeks ago we began receiving angels and butterflies in the mail from The Angels for Hope. We’ve gotten at least one a day since they began arriving. My family has been so moved by the experience, and want to thank all of those responsible for helping us to find strength during this most difficult period. I’ve been collecting angels for a few years now, and my son had given me a few angels to add to my collection before his death. It’s occurred to me that maybe he’s still sending them to me now ~ through you. They mean more to me than you can possibly know. Thank you for this gift.”

I am very proud to know such people that are so willing to go the extra mile and give back to our Military for all they have gone through and for the sacrifices made. There are many such organizations that offer help as well. But I strongly recommend that you contribute to the Angels for Hope! Outside of helping those who serve now or those who have served they have added another very special mission, one that I want to share….
