~REMNANT OF HOME, A PATCH OF GRASS IN THE SANDBOX~

~Imagine being thousands of miles away from family and friends and longing for that one thing that reminded you of home~You are just one of many tents that line the path in a strange land fighting for your country to end this war on terror and do your part to make this world a better place~
~Your tent is lined with wrinkled letters and photos from home but that empty feeling just won’t leave your gut, won’t fill a longing heart~ This young man is a soldier stationed in Iraq, squatting in front of a big sand box. He had asked his wife to send him dirt (U.S. soil), fertilizer, and some grass seed so that he can have the sweet aroma and feel of grass growing beneath his feet. When the men of the squadron have a mission that they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American soil – to bring them good luck.~Remember their mission, their purpose and pray that this small patch of grass brings them peace of mind, heart and soul as they embark upon the many dangers they face and bring them the luck to come back to a better nation, made better by the endeavors of them and all serving abroad~Many are serving that have no friends or family that keeps in touch with them for what ever reasons~Imagine the delight of recieving cards, letters or packages from home! If you have time and want to do something to make a difference in a soldiers life~visit this web page and it will help link you..
Sometimes we are in such a hurry that we don’t stop and think about the little things that we take for granted. Upon reading this, say a little prayer for soldiers that give, give up and gave up so unselfishly for us.

~Thank you Althyork for the email~

~SUPPORTING FREEDOM~

~This is not a call to battle, to go to war, but a call for those who believe in the rights of freedom of speech, the right to assemble and the right to live in a land free of oppression to stand with us for ~ A FREE IRAN~
~On the social site “Twitter” we have witnessed a wave of green avatar’s as we show our support for our brothers and sisters fighting an unjust, fraudulent, oppressive and tyrannical regime.~
~As we approach the 4Th of July and we celebrate our independence let us remember their suffrage and take not for granted what we inherited~

~WE CAN’T AFFORD TO REMAIN SILENT, WISDOM FROM OUR FOUNDING FATHERS~

~Our founding fathers tried to warn us, but did we listen? If we had would our Country be where she is now? Would we have the problems with over taxation, bigger government, an economy growing by leaps and bounds? No, we would have ONE NATION UNDER GOD~ as it was intended, but we have failed…We have let one who lacks the principles and the values of these great men to occupy the highest office in the land…Now we have to listen to these words, take in their meanings and remember that as we take back our country that we can no longer remain silent…….

~HONORING OUR VETERANS~

~It saddens me to think that many of our veterans are living on the streets, not being honored for their sacrifice that they gave for us to continue to have the life we so much take for granted~
~Where is the justice of this? How can we continue to send our young off to war if we do not show them the appreciation for what they have so bravely and selfishly given?

~This is one American who takes pride and gives you praise for what you have done for this country and as God as my Witness, I will do all that I can do to make sure your sacrifices are not in vain and that what you have done for this country will not go unnoticed~THANK YOU seems so little for something so important~

~DYING WITH OBAMA~

~Mr. President, I am a Nurse, I work with the terminally ill ~your plan to end funding for them simply appalls me~I am in disgust, I hope as this picture reflects that you are in deep thought, maybe it should be with your “Almighty, your Creator,” and you should beg for forgiveness for such a display of lack of compassion for those facing the end of their life.
~Have you not heard of dying with dignity? A “pain pill”isn’t always the answer, sir. What a sad way to honor your grandmother in such a way.
~Dying with dignity entails living out your end days without pain or suffering. Often that requires some medical interventions. We provide oxygen, medication such as Morphine to alleviate pain. We also involve the family in these decisions, Mr. President. We do not need our Government involved in our lives at such dire time in our lives. Surgery is ruled out for patients who have certain conditions that would prevent a surgical procedure. This however, is discussed with family, not the Government.
~We provide care that we in the medical field refer to as “comfort measures,” and yes sometimes test are performed.~
~We also utilize the services of Hospirus or in some areas they are still referred to as Hopice.
~They work primarily with the dying patient and family often providing bereavement counseling after the family goes through this most difficult life experience. Once again, Mr. President you don’t cease to amaze me with your attitude that the Government is the solution to all of our problems.

~FROM THE WHITEHOUSE THERE IS NO SOUND~

~Where are you, where is your voice, your outrage of how the Iranian people are being treated by their government? The mere words you uttered to the people of Iran that the world is watching just isn’t enough.

~Americans understand the plight of the Iranian people as we have fought wars and lost warriors for the sake of freedom. The time is now, Mr. President for you to speak out, stand with Americans as we raise our voices against the brutality and aggression that these people of Iran are facing.

~ Demand that the killing stops and that they as living, breathing souls have the God given right for freedom of speech, to assemble and to live their life in a land of free of oppression. Mr.President, I know you are aware of the struggles of one Martin Luther King, Jr. and his fight for equality and freedom. He gave a speech, one that remains relevant in today’s world as others seek liberty and justice. Remember this………………………………………..

“I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together”

~Mr. President, we are living in the most peril of times, unrest in a nation that seeks to annihilate nations from the face of the earth, a nation that threatens our own security with missiles able to reach our shores.

~Yet, it seems you are wanting to push your agenda regarding nationalizing our health-care and bailing out companies doomed by greed. Now,is the time for you to concern yourself with matters of security. You appear to be motivated by aligning us with countries that have a different mantra for life than we as Americans have.
~We may be a nation of immigrants and we may share different opinions but we speak with one voice as we call for you to speak out against the injustice of intolerance, oppression. Its going to take more than a few words or phrases but will require action. Can you deliver?
