We have all stood at attention while our National Anthem has been played at one time in our schools, sports events and many political rallies and conventions, at funerals of dignitaries of our great country.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
We must never let the chains that once bound those who came before us bind us and weaken our spirits. Regardless how they try to change the sentiment that we hold dear regarding our flag; tattered and worn like those long ago, we will rally to keep her standing tall flying over the ramparts and the red glare…I too, will die on my feet fighting before I will live on my knees…Like those who fell that eve, our sense of patriotism and love of our flag will once again call us to stand tall with American Pride and hold our flag up to show that we are still there, “O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave”
We can’t all be Washingtons, but we can all be patriots. ~Charles F. Browne
~This is not a call to battle, to go to war, but a call for those who believe in the rights of freedom of speech, the right to assemble and the right to live in a land free of oppression to stand with us for ~ A FREE IRAN~
~On the social site “Twitter” we have witnessed a wave of green avatar’s as we show our support for our brothers and sisters fighting an unjust, fraudulent, oppressive and tyrannical regime.~
~As we approach the 4Th of July and we celebrate our independence let us remember their suffrage and take not for granted what we inherited~
~Where are you, where is your voice, your outrage of how the Iranian people are being treated by their government? The mere words you uttered to the people of Iran that the world is watching just isn’t enough.
~Americans understand the plight of the Iranian people as we have fought wars and lost warriors for the sake of freedom. The time is now, Mr. President for you to speak out, stand with Americans as we raise our voices against the brutality and aggression that these people of Iran are facing.
~ Demand that the killing stops and that they as living, breathing souls have the God given right for freedom of speech, to assemble and to live their life in a land of free of oppression. Mr.President, I know you are aware of the struggles of one Martin Luther King, Jr. and his fight for equality and freedom. He gave a speech, one that remains relevant in today’s world as others seek liberty and justice. Remember this………………………………………..
“I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together”
~Mr. President, we are living in the most peril of times, unrest in a nation that seeks to annihilate nations from the face of the earth, a nation that threatens our own security with missiles able to reach our shores.
~Yet, it seems you are wanting to push your agenda regarding nationalizing our health-care and bailing out companies doomed by greed. Now,is the time for you to concern yourself with matters of security. You appear to be motivated by aligning us with countries that have a different mantra for life than we as Americans have.
~We may be a nation of immigrants and we may share different opinions but we speak with one voice as we call for you to speak out against the injustice of intolerance, oppression. Its going to take more than a few words or phrases but will require action. Can you deliver?
~Iran we stand with you for FREEDOM, we hear your pleas and we have watched your videos~they have touched the hearts of many American~we support you, we pray for you, may the deaths of the ones lost be not in vain~
~ Our Heavenly Father, hear their pleas and deliver them from the evil that has kept them captive for so long, please end their suffering and bring them into the life of freedom that is a GOD given right~Amen
This Memorial Day we wish to give thanks to all branches of the Armed Forces of Our Great Country, The United States of America~ It is for your sacrifices and your bravery that we remain free to this day~ This flame will burn for eternity for you~
